Pat Tompkins first wrote book reviews and essays about the literary inspirations of TV series such as The Jewel in the Crown before venturing into short stories and poetry. Her fiction and poems have appeared in the Bellevue Literary Review, Mslexia, Thema, Haibun Today, and other publications. She works as an editor in the San Francisco Bay Area.
