Laryssa Wirstiuk is a writer and writing instructor living in the New York City metro area. After earning her MFA in Creative Writing from University of Maryland, she began teaching creative writing and digital media at Rutgers - The State University of New Jersey. In 2012 she self-published her collection of short stories The Prescribed Burn, which won Honorable Mention in the 21st Annual Writer's Digest Self-Published Book Awards.
