"When I look at something, my mind immediately filters through the chaos (whatever it might be) and tries to create order by subtracting, so that there is only one primary focus point. I think this compulsive urge developed from my childhood as a way of coping, and as a result reflects in the way I work and capture images."

 

Anke grew up in Pretoria, South Africa. She studied visual communications at Red & Yellow advertising school. After assisting photographer, Pieter Hugo for two years she is pursuing her own body of work, from street photography to portraiture & art direction.
